Croatia has contracted 13.19 billion euros worth of projects from EU funds

From the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF), Croatia has contracted financing of projects worth 13.19 billion euros until October 7, while the Croatian budget is in the plus of 44.02 billion kuna in relation to the funds paid into the EU budget, ie 50, HRK 15 billion if the advance paid for NPPO is included, the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds announced.

At the closed part of today's Government session, Minister Nataša Tramišak presented a report on the state of utilization of ESI funds in Croatia, which was then adopted by the Government, the statement said.

 

A total of EUR 10.73 billion or HRK 81.56 billion was available from Croatia from the ESIF for the period 2014-2020. Until October 7 this year, projects worth 13.19 billion euros or 100.22 billion kuna, or 122.88 percent of the allocated funds, have been contracted.

According to a statement from the Ministry, a total of 6.57 billion euros or 49.94 billion kuna was paid out, which is 61.24 percent of the allocated funds, and 5.36 billion euros or 40.77 billion kuna or 49.98 percent were certified allocated funds.

 

The Competitiveness and Cohesion Operational Program has the best percentage of contracted funds

 

If 763.17 million euros from REACT EU and 597.56 million euros added to the Rural Development Program are added to the original allocation of ESI funds 2014-2020 from 10.73 billion kuna, the total allocation by 2023 is 12, 09 billion euros, point out the Ministry.

 

In the period from 2013 to October 7, 2021, the difference between the funds paid from the EU budget to the Croatian budget and the funds paid from the Croatian state budget to the EU budget amounts to HRK 44.02 billion in favor of the state budget. Including the advance paid for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NPPO), Croatia is in the plus of HRK 50.15 billion, it is added.

 

The Operational Program Competitiveness and Cohesion has the best percentage of contracted funds of 132.04 percent of the total available allocation, while the best percentage of disbursed funds is recorded by the Rural Development Program, ie 78.06 percent of allocated funds, the statement concludes.
