The execution of works on the adaptation and reconstruction of the border railway station in Bijelo Polje began on February 15 and will last for a year, the Ministry of Capital Investments announced.
This contract is, as stated, part of the project "Reconstruction of the cross-border railway station Bijelo Polje on the railway line Vrbnica-Bar" which includes the preparation of the main project and supervision of works for adaptation and reconstruction of the border railway station in Bijelo Polje - worth 202,670.00 € , Revision of the Main Project for Adaptation and Reconstruction of the Border Railway Station in Bijelo Polje - in the amount of € 10,000.00 and execution of works on the adaptation and reconstruction of the Border Railway Station in Bijelo Polje - in the amount of € 1,883,459.42.
"First of all, this project significantly improves and speeds up the work on processing trains in the border zone, in a way that the necessary procedures will be performed in one place by railway companies and state bodies working in the border zone. "The minimum savings on keeping trains in the border zone are 30 minutes for passenger trains and 60 minutes for freight trains," the MKI said in a statement.
The project is funded by the Annual IPA Action Program for 2017 for Montenegro (CAP 2017) under the IPA II Instrument for Pre-Accession Support.
