IPARD 3 Program for Serbia Worth EUR 288 Million Adopted
According to the decision of the European Commission of March 9, the IPARD III program for the Republic of Serbia for 2021-2027, worth EUR 288 million, was adopted, the Ministry of Agriculture of Serbia announced.
The investments which will be supported by the IPARD III program pertain to the procurement of equipment and machines and construction and reconstruction of facilities, with the aim of reaching EU standards in hygiene, food safety, animal welfare and environmental protection, strengthening agricultural producers for the placement of products in the EU market and preparation for the use of EU funds which will become available to local agricultural producers and processors upon joining the EU.
The measures which will be supported by the IPARD III program are:
Measure 1: Investments in physical property of agricultural properties;
Measure 3: Investments in physical property which pertain to processing and marketing agricultural and fishery products;
Measure 4: Agri-environmental-climate measures and organic production measures;
Measure 5: Implementing local rural development strategies – LEADER approach;
Measure 6: Investments in rural public infrastructure;
Measure 7: Diversification of agricultural properties and development of operations and
Measure 9: Technical aid (supporting the Management Body in implementing the IPARD program).
In addition to the measures that have already been accredited through the IPARD II program, the IPARD III program envisages the implementation of new measures which will additionally increase the utilization of the awarded funds, as well as new sectors, new limits of financial support, new specific criteria regarding the area and the number of animals.
