The United States donates protective equipment to the Kosovo Police to fight crime in Kosovo

The General Director of Kosovo Police, Samedin Mehmeti received in a meeting with the Director of INL, Shawn Waddoups and the Attaché of DOJ-ICITAP Mrs. Kimberly Riffe from the United States Embassy.

The purpose of the meeting was to donate personal protective equipment (PPE) to help protect police officers during the pandemic and advanced technology equipment to fight crime in Kosovo.

In this regard, the General Director of KP, Mehmeti thanked Waddoups and Riffe and through them, US citizens and taxpayers for this donation, as well as for the ongoing support that the Kosovo Police receives from the Government of the US .BA's.

Mehmeti also stressed that the donated equipment will facilitate the work of police officers in fighting crime.

INL Director Waddoups praised the ongoing cooperation they have with the KP, while assuring that their support will continue in the future. He stressed that other needs for assistance to the Kosovo Police will be identified in the future, and in this way, we will maintain the partnership between the two parties.
