Minister Murati and Minister Nagavci sign the agreement "Skills for the Labor Market - Fit for Jobs" with the Director of GIZ Mr. David Oberhuber and Project Leader Mr. Tobias Seiberlich

Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Mr. Hekuran Murati, Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Mrs. Arbërie Nagavci, Director of GIZ in Kosovo, Mr. David Oberhuber and Project Leader Mr. Tobias Seiberlich today signed the implementation agreement for the project "Skills for the Labor Market - Fit for Jobs."

The project, co-financed by the Government of Kosovo and Germany, aims to increase the number of young people employed in Kosovo by improving education and vocational training, career guidance and improving young people's access to labor market services.

Respectively, the project "Fit for Jobs" covers four main areas, such as, systematic career guidance in the lower secondary education system, promoting the systematic involvement of the private sector in Vocational Education and Training, reducing the gap between vocational education and transition to the labor market, as well as career guidance through relevant policies and strategies.

In the field of PFMT, the cooperation aims to engage interns in the Employment Agency, engage trainers according to the needs of Vocational Training Centers (VTCs), develop the capacity of VTCs, and implement the training voucher scheme for jobseekers .

During his speech, Minister Murati praised the cooperation between the parties, stating that "close cooperation with the German Government is very important in order to jointly create better prospects through an active participation in the labor market in the country. ”

The parties pledged to continue cooperation between the two governments in achieving goals to improve the lives of Kosovo citizens.
