EULEX Supports the Municipalities of Mitrovica South and Mitrovica North through Donations of Vehicles and IT Equipment

On 12 April, the Head of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, handed over vehicles and IT equipment to the Municipalities of Mitrovica South and Mitrovica North.

In particular, the Mission donated one vehicle, six computers, six monitors and three printers to the Mayor’s Office of Mitrovica South. On the occasion, Wigemark had his first meeting with the new Mayor, Bedri Hamza, with whom he discussed the rule of law, local governance and the importance of investments in climate and energy.

On the same day, EULEX’s Head handed over two vehicles and five portable eyewash stations to the Fire Brigade in Mitrovica North, while two vehicles and one printer were donated to the Municipality of Mitrovica North to support the work of the Department of Health and Social Welfare.
