Erasmus+: almost 51 million euros for 640 projects in Croatia
The European Union Agency for Mobility and Programmes has approved funding for 640 Erasmus+ projects worth almost 51 million euros. New application deadlines will follow in the autumn.
In the first call for applications for the Erasmus+ programme for 2026, funding was approved for 640 projects in the fields of education and training, youth and sport, with a total value of 50,706,031.90 euros.
Approved Erasmus+ projects will enable international mobility and cooperation with partners across Europe, encourage the exchange of knowledge and experience, and contribute to the development of participants' competences and strengthening the capacities of organizations.
A total of 1,252 project proposals were received in the first call for proposals, of which 860 were for mobility projects and 392 for partnership projects. The large number of applications received confirms the extremely high level of interest in participating in the Erasmus+ programme. In most activities, the available funds were not sufficient to finance all project proposals that met the quality criteria.
Despite the high competition, the number of funded projects has increased by almost 5% compared to the first call round last year, enabling a larger number of organisations to participate in the implementation of Erasmus+ projects and international cooperation.
