USAID commits additional $10.3 mln grant to N. Macedonia

SKOPJE (N. Macedonia), August 31 (SeeNews) - The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) committed to providing an additional $10.30 million (10.28 million euro) to North Macedonia under a development partnership grant agreement signed earlier, North Macedonia's finance ministry said.

With the new amount, the USAID's total disbursed funds to North Macedonia under the five-year grant agreement has reached $22.1 million, out of the planned $56.6 million, the finance ministry said in a press release on Tuesday.

The additional funds will be spent on activities aimed at the development of democratic society and supporting competitive economy.

In May 2021, North Macedonia and USAID signed a five-year development partnership grant agreement committing up to $8.3 million annually to support the development of North Macedonia. To date, USAID has invested over $840 million in development projects in North Macedonia.
