United States Donates Patrol Boats to Montenegrin Navy

The United States Department of Defense donated four ARCHANGEL-class 44-ft patrol boats, produced by SilverShips, to the Montenegrin Navy and Ministry of Defense. The Patrol Boat Donation Ceremony took place in Budva on July 18, attended by the U.S. Ambassador Judy Rising Reinke and Montenegrin Defense Minister Dragan Krapović.

This donation underscores the strong partnership between the United States and Montenegro and their joint commitment to enhancing maritime security in the Adriatic. As Ambassador Reinke stated, “Maritime security is every coastal state’s obligation to the international order with benefits for the economy. Montenegro has a double responsibility, as NATO also requires maritime security and domain awareness discipline.”
