The regional center for professional education and training "Kiro Burnaz" in Kumanovo is growing into a modern educational institution
The Regional Center for Vocational Education and Training in Kumanovo offers young people from this part of the country the opportunity for excellence in several sectors, and for adults it provides informal education, retraining, as well as validation of formal and informal learning. This large capital investment, in which about two million euros were invested, implies a complete reconstruction of the school and boarding school, and was realized with the support of the European Union, through IPA funds, said Deputy Minister of Education and Science Lulzim Aliu after visiting the Center.
The Ministry of Education and Science is implementing the procedure for the procurement of equipment, i.e. tables, chairs, blackboards, closets for vocational education and training centers in Kumanovo and Ohrid, so that they will be fully functional for quality teaching from September.
"We are a small country that must use all resources more than others in order to develop and progress. That's why we pay special attention to the improvement and completion of the professional education system that prepares personnel capable of quick inclusion in the labor market, but at the same time with the knowledge and skills for successful continuation in higher education. Together with several institutions, the business community and experts, we are working on finalizing the Law on Vocational Education and Training, which will systematically regulate dual education. This will facilitate the functioning of such centers and enable them to be sources of knowledge, innovation and successful careers," said Aliu.
Referring to the activities to raise the quality of the entire educational system, and within those frameworks also to secondary professional and dual education, Deputy Minister Aliu pointed out that this will enable the attractiveness of learning through work to grow year by year. In this direction, it is important to improve cooperation with local businesses and align curricula with their needs, in order to ensure personnel with relevant skills.
Deputy Minister Aliu expects from September that the Regional Center for Vocational Education and Training "Kiro Burnaz" in Kumanovo will be a place where students will have the opportunity to get an education and develop skills that will help them in the future.
