The occupiers raped and captured people in all parts of Ukraine

Cases of rape were discovered on the territory of the whole of Ukraine, which was liberated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Russian occupiers. In particular, rape was reported in the Kherson, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Such crimes were committed against women, men, the elderly, adolescents and children. This was announced by Government Commissioner for Gender Policy Kateryna Levchenko.

She stressed the importance of documenting such crimes against civilians. It is also necessary to identify not only the victims, but also the occupiers who committed them.

"Sexual violence during the war is a war crime or a crime against humanity that has no statute of limitations. Not only direct rapists are responsible for these crimes and should be punished, but also their commanders, military and political leaders of the Russian Federation. Such orders were issued or tacitly issued. "consent to torture and violence against the citizens of Ukraine," Levchenko said.

All victims can report cases of violence to the government hotline 15-47 or to human rights activists La Strada-Ukraine 116-123 (from mobile phones). Levchenko called on all victims not to remain silent, but to report crimes.

It should be noted that Kateryna Galyant, a psychologist at the Dobrobut medical network, works with three Ukrainian women who were victims of violence by the Russian occupiers. These are girls aged 16 to 20. They say that after the experience of rape, they wanted to share the burden with themselves.

Gallant advised people whose relatives may be victims of rape not to put pressure on them. Victims must be given peace and security. No additional violence should be committed, such as forcible removal to the police or doctor.

On April 3, two Russian soldiers raped Kherson resident Olena (the victim's name was changed), a mother of four.

Russian soldiers raped children during the occupation of a settlement near Kiev. They committed some crimes in front of the parents of juvenile victims.

In Kharkov, a Russian aggressor sexually abused a 29-year-old girl for a week, and then shot her older mother. The woman was seriously ill, and her daughter has cared for her in recent years.
