The Ministry of Economy and the USAID Activity Partnerships for Economic Growth signed Memorandum of Cooperation
The Minister of Economy, Kreshnik Bekteshi, and the Director of USAID Partnerships for Economic Growth, Dejan Janevski, today signed Memorandum of Cooperation at the Ministry of Economy.
The signing formalizes mutual cooperation in the direction of increasing the productivity and competitiveness of the private sector, supporting energy efficiency, circular economy and digitization.
The goal is to effectively respond to the needs of companies through coordinated cooperation and exchange of information. Namely, both parties will work on implementing pilot projects together with companies, and the most successful of them will become active measures to support the private sector in the Ministry's program.
These joint activities will contribute to the creation of harmonized measures and policies with the EU legal framework and continuous support of the private sector on the way to its development.
Minister Bekteshi expressed gratitude for the previous support that the Ministry of Economy continuously receives from USAID.
"Only with a partnership relationship can we contribute to the improvement of the business environment in our country," said Minister Bekteshi.
During the signing, the Director of the Activity, Dejan Janevski, stated that cooperation with the Ministry has always existed, and with this act of signing the Memorandum only concrete guidelines are given for joint activities and consolidation of efforts to increase economic growth in the country.
"We are partners of the private sector on the way to its growth and development, and creating partnerships is a formula for success," Janevski said.
