The Kingdom of Norway provided USD 140,000 for the infrastructural improvement of the Training and Doctrine Centre of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Travnik
Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy Kingdom of Norway in Bosnia and Herzegovina Ms. Siri Andersen visited the Training section for personnel involved in handling ammunition and explosive ordnances/stockpile management within the Training and Doctrine Centre of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (MoD / AF BiH) which was renovated with funds provided by Kingdom of Norway in the amount of 140,000 US dollars.
The United Nations Development Program in Bosnia and Herzegovina (UNDP BiH) through Explosive Ordnance and Remnants of War Destruction project (EXPLODE +) under the signed agreement with the Kingdom of Norway has implemented adaptation of the facility, in order to provide direct support to the MoD / AF BiH in efforts for safe and sustainable ammunition explosive ordnances stockpile management.
The Kingdom of Norway supported the adaptation, thus ensuring the planning and implementation of courses and trainings for MoD / AF BiH personnel in stockpile management, enabling the sustainability of trainings previously conducted by EUFOR mobile training teams.
With additional investment in the implementation of project activities for the EXPLODE+ project, the Kingdom of Norway shows a continued commitment to support the development of Bosnia and Herzegovina and better community security.
