Starović and Gori handed over the keys to new municipal vehicles in Valjevo

Minister for European Integration Nemanja Starović and Ambassador of the Republic of Italy Luca Gori today handed over the keys to new waste collection vehicles to the Public Utility Company "Vidrak" in Valjevo.

These are vehicles donated by the Government of the Republic of Italy within the project "Support to the Serbian Economy for the Procurement of Goods for Five Line Ministries", which is implemented by the Ministry of European Integration.

Minister Starović thanked Italy on behalf of the Serbian government for its long-standing and constant political, economic and technical support to Serbia, both in the European integration process and in overall socio-economic development.

"The total value of this program is around 13 million euros, and the funds are directed to key sectors - agriculture, education, energy, environmental protection and healthcare", said Minister Starović. He particularly emphasized that this program will provide beneficiaries with agricultural and other machinery, passenger and ambulance vehicles, waste processing trucks, laboratory and computer equipment through 44 procurements for sectors under the jurisdiction of five line ministries.

"Today, we are delivering five new municipal waste collection vehicles worth 729,500 euros. This investment will directly contribute to the improvement of municipal services and a better everyday life for the residents of Valjevo," the minister emphasized and concluded that this program is also a very good example of how concrete cooperation with development partners, member states of the European Union, brings visible results for all our citizens.
