Signed contract for the renovation of the student dormitories "Steve Naumov" and "Kuzman Josifovski-Pitu"

An agreement was signed in the li Government today for construction activities for the reconstruction of two state student dormitories in Skopje, within the framework of the Project for their energy-efficient rehabilitation. The contract was signed with the economic operator who submitted the most favorable offer - Strabag AG.

The project will cover all nine state student dormitories in Skopje, Prilep, Bitola, Shtip and Ohrid, and the agreement that was signed today refers to the first of three phases, i.e. for the reconstruction of "Steve Naumov" and "Kuzman Josifovski Pitu" in Skopje.

Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski emphasized that the first two houses out of a total of nine will be reconstructed in 18 months.

- This large capital investment is realized with funds from the German Development Bank of 20 million euros and a grant of 5 million euros through the Program for Regional Energy Efficiency for the Western Balkans of the European Union, Kovacevski said.

The event was also addressed by Jeton Shaqiri, Minister of Education and Science, Stefen Hudolin, Acting. ambassador of the EU and Otto Graf, deputy ambassador of FR Germany.
