SELECTED BEST PROPOSALS FOR NATURE CONSERVATION IN PROTECTED AREAS
With the support of the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia and the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has selected the best proposals in response to the "Public Call to Civil Society Organizations for the Promotion of Natural Values in Protected Areas." This call was open to civil society organizations involved in environmental protection and climate change and was announced as part of the "EU for Green Agenda in Serbia" project in April of this year.
The call received 31 applications, and a team of independent experts has chosen 13 project proposals that will receive financial support for practical implementation. The list of selected project proposals can be found in the text bellow.
It is expected that the selected proposals will contribute to improving the protection and preservation of biodiversity, especially endangered species, as well as increasing the resilience of natural habitats to changing climatic conditions. Additionally, they will have a positive impact on the well-being of the local population in the areas where they will be implemented.
The project "EU for Green Agenda in Serbia", with the technical and financial support of the European Union and in partnership with the Ministry of Environmental Protection, is implemented by UNDP in cooperation with the Embassy of Sweden and the European Investment Bank (EIB), with additional funding from the Governments of Sweden, Switzerland and Serbia.
