Putin ordered the recruitment of 133,000 soldiers in the autumn mobilization

Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the recruitment of 133,000 new soldiers in the autumn recruitment, which begins on October 1 and lasts until the end of the year, and according to the head of the recruitment office, the recruits will not go to the battlefields in Ukraine.
The Kremlin decree, published on Monday in the Russian state newspaper Rossiyskaya Gazeta, calls for the mobilization of citizens "between the ages of 18 and 30 who are not in reserve and subject to military service in accordance with federal law (...) in the amount of 133,000 people." .
The head of the Russian recruitment office, Vice-Admiral Vladimir Cimlyansky said that the qualifications for recruitment remain the same - 12 months of service in military units in Russia.
"I would like to note that conscripts will not be invited to participate in a special military operation in the new regions," the newspaper quoted the Russian vice admiral as saying.
Russia calls the war in Ukraine, which began with an invasion in February 2022, a special military operation.
Kiev and its allies, on the other hand, call it brutal aggression and an unprovoked, imperialist attempt to seize the country, reports Reuters.
In a move condemned by much of the Western world, Russia annexed parts of southeastern Ukraine in late 2022, calling the country "new regions."
Citing increasing threats on Russia's western borders, Putin ordered in September that the Russian army be increased by 180,000 soldiers, to 1.5 million active soldiers, which would make it the second largest in the world after China's.
