MIPT/KIESA and UNDP sign agreement on the implementation of a creative industry project worth 1,450,000 euros

The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, through the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA), today signed a Cooperation Agreement with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), for the implementation of a creative industries project worth 1,450,000 euros.
This Agreement comes as a co-financing of the financial instrument to support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with activities in the creative industries, with a contribution of 950,000 euros from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and 500,000 euros from the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, through KIESA, while UNDP is the implementing partner.
This Agreement was signed by Mr. Zef Dedaj, Acting Director General of KIESA and Mr. Nuno Queirós, UNDP Resident Representative in Kosovo.
This financial support instrument for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) will be implemented by KIESA as a new scheme dedicated to supporting private enterprises operating in the creative industries, with the support of UNDP.
This is a major step towards unlocking the great potential of the creative industries in Kosovo, as a leading country for creative industries in the region.
Based on this Agreement, KIESA, with significantly improved performance in the last three years, will soon launch the next call for a grant scheme to support MSMEs operating in the creative industries.
