Part of the roof of the Mojkovac Health Center was reconstructed, new sidewalk around the facility
Thanks to a donation of 35,000 euros from the Embassy of Bulgaria in Mojkovac, the project to reconstruct part of the roof and arrange the sidewalk around this health care facility was completed.
The Minister of Health, Dragoslav Šćekić, thanked and congratulated the participants of the project, the municipality of Mojkovac, the Embassy of Bulgaria and the health center for the successfully implemented activities.
"I especially want to thank Mr. Dimitrov and the Bulgarian embassy for recognizing priorities through investment in health care, as well as the local self-government, led by President Vesko Delić, who successfully participated in the implementation of the project with his team.
This approach is a demonstrative example of how municipal authorities help institutions in their place, and I believe that health and health infrastructure should always be at the top of the priorities,'' Šćekić said.
The minister particularly emphasized the dedication of the health center in Mojkovac, led by the director, Dr. Miloje Zejak, who, as he emphasized, "works every day to improve services and health care for patients, both through infrastructure investments and personnel".
He particularly praised the results of the health center in the field of immunization, where this institution has 100% of children vaccinated with the MMR vaccine, and as such is at the top of health institutions that implement the immunization program in Montenegro.
The president of the municipality of Mojkovac, Vesko Delić, thanked the Embassy of Bulgaria for the extremely important donation for the Health Center and the entire municipality.
"The completion of this project will greatly improve the work and quality of this health center. We owe a great deal of gratitude to the people of Bulgaria and have once again shown a good example of cooperation between the two countries. I am convinced that this cooperation will continue and that there will be similar projects in the future," said Delić, addressing the Bulgarian ambassador Stefan Dimitrov.
The ambassador, Stefan Dimitrov, pointed out that this is the tenth project of the Bulgarian official development assistance that has been implemented in Montenegro since 2019.
"In the light of the excellent bilateral relations between our two countries, I am particularly proud to inform you that the Republic of Bulgaria has so far donated over 400,000 euros to Montenegro to finance seven projects in the field of health, two in the field of education and one for people with disabilities and developmental disabilities." Dimitrov said.
He thanked President Delic, project coordinator Ivana Medojević and Vasil Durev for their professionalism, excellent organization and achieved results.
The Director of the Health Center, Miloje Zejak, PhD, thanked the government and the people of Bulgaria for the donation, as well as the Municipality of Mojkovac, which directed these funds to this health facility for the rehabilitation of the roof and the landscaping of the area around the facility.
