Losses of Russia. The engagement of mercenaries is decreasing.

During one week, the number of losses recognized in the Russian Federation rose by 985 deceased.
The group “Informational Resistance” continues gathering data on Russian soldiers which have been pronounced dead or publicly buried in Russia.
Since September the 2nd 2024, the database of this group contains 68.711 people for which complete information is available and more than 460 names with certain deviations.
During the week, the number of losses recognized in the Russian Federation rose by 985 deceased. The number of relatively new victims recognized in the Russian Federation is around 120 on a daily basis. Russians do not speak of the losses publicly.
The Russian project “Mediazon” and service of the Russian Air Force have published the figure of 66.471 deceased according to the data from August 30th of this year.
We should never lose sight and it is necessary to repeat that these are minimal sacrifices. These numbers do not represent the real number of losses (which is a lot higher), but they do allow us to catch some trends.

In light of the visit to Mongolia, Putin stopped by Tuva to tell the story about military traditions to children. He said that there are around 10.000 residents of this region are participating in the “special military operation”. Like this proves that the traditions of Shoigu's warrior ancestors are still alive.
According to Russian statistics, there are only 98.000 able-bodied men in Tuva. That is, if Putin didn’t lie as usually, every 10th able-bodied Tuvans are currently fighting against Ukraine. Taking into account that usually nominally able-bodied young men aged 16 to 17 do not fight (and there are a lot), the number of middle aged Tuvans in war is huge. For Tuva, the war represents a big part of the economy.
Currently, Tuva leads by a wide margin in recorded relative losses – 69 deaths per 10.000 able-bodied men.
The nuance is that this depressed republic is traditionally among the leaders in terms of birth rate and natural increase. In six months of 2024 the birth rate exceeds the death rate by 1,7 times (even though the number of children born has been reduced to 7% compared to the previous year). A natural increase of 1,117 people was recorded in Tuva, and it is among the leaders in terms of dynamics, just behind the Caucasus.
The statement about the “genocide” of the people of the Russian Federation must be corrected by an amendment for individual republics. In Tuva’s case, it’s a slowdown in growth rates, which have previously been over 1% yearly and are now slightly less.

Let’s compare it to the Orlovo area. During the summer, the number of recorded losses has grown by 35%. It is partially a manifestation of previous losses. The indicator of relative losses in the Orlovo area is significantly lower than in Tuva – only 19%. However, in six months of 2024 the death rate exceeds the birth rate by 2,46 times. In one year, the natural decline of the population amounts to about 1%. Putin is leading a real war here.

Sverdlovsk officials have reported that 5.000 residents of the region have joined the military under contract within eight months. Payments to mercenaries now amount to 1.6 million rubles. in Yekaterinburg (one million from the region + 400,000 from the Ministry of Education + 200,000 from the city) and 1.5 million in other settlements (municipal payments of 100,000).
Let’s assume that those who have been recruited from Sverdlovsk in January have begun referring to the first battle lines in March. In six months, losses confirmed by name (!)  from the region amount to 795 people. That is, one in six is guaranteed to be killed. Actually, at least one in four. Plus the wounded. The dynamics of average monthly losses show that the flow of newly mobilized contract soldiers has started to decrease. Hence these dances with payments. Because this is a one-way ticket.
