Kosovo and Denmark sign two letters of intent, considered the cornerstone of future agreements
Kosovo and Denmark have signed two letters of intent today, one for the commissioning of a correctional facility, and the other for investments in renewable energy and political cooperation.
The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli has signed an agreement with the Danish counterpart, Flemming Moller Morteensen.
Rizvanolli said that the agreement on investments in renewable energy and political cooperation paves the way for greater cooperation between the two countries.
"The energy sector faces various challenges and this crisis has shown us fragility. We need to diversify electricity sources. In our energy strategy the diversification of energy sources are among the main goals, and decabornation. For us as a state this will be challenging. Having the state of Denmark in this transition will be very good for Kosovo. "This agreement paves the way for even greater cooperation," she said.
Flemming Moller Morteensen, Minister of Development Cooperation, said that this agreement is extremely important for both countries.
"Today we have taken a very important step for cooperation between the two countries. We will work together on green energy. I am happy that Denmark can support Kosovo. "Currently we see the impact of high energy prices, having serious economic consequences," he said.
