KEK soon with all water treatment plants in TPP-B

Following the measures and activities to reduce the environmental impact of TPP Kosova B, the Kosovo Energy Corporation has been offered a good opportunity as a beneficiary of the project for the construction of 5 plants for the treatment of all industrial discharged water and atmospheric, a project that has a cost of about 9 million euros. "Thanks to the European Union through its Office in Pristina, in the land area of TPP-B will be built a total of 5 plants for the treatment of all technological or industrial waters as we call them, not leaving aside the sewage and those atmospheric ", said KEK spokesman, Skender Bucolli. He has shown what benefits KEK will have from the realization of this project. "With the implementation of this project is expected to meet European environmental standards in terms of allowing chemical and biological parameters of discharged water. Furthermore, this project also aims to reuse the treatment of these waters in the production cycle, both in the cooling of equipment and in the hydraulic transport of ash, in which case the Kosovo Energy Corporation would save water from Ujmani in value up to 15% per year ", said Bucolli. With this part of the project completed a few weeks ago, the phase of drafting technical and commercial documentation for the tender announcement was completed by the EU Office in Pristina. Kosovo Energy Corporation will continue in the future with investments, through which it will be possible to preserve the environment and better work of energy facilities.
