Horror in Skabeeva's eyes. What are the propagandists preparing the Russians for?

The Putin regime's fear of The Hague already exists

When the editor-in-chief of Russia Today Margarita Simonyan said a few days ago that "if we lose in Ukraine, the Hague will be waiting for us", it could have seemed accidental.
After another leading propagandist of the Kremlin, Olga Skabesheva, presented the thesis about the International Court on December 1, it already became an obvious symptom.
The fact that the term "assistant of the Putin regime" was first published on a state channel indicates, first of all, that propagandists are gradually starting to call things by their real names.
Second, it means that Skabejeva and Simonjan are aware (and therefore reprehensible), because they understand who they are and what they will be responsible for.
Third, with all due respect to the "caretaker of the Kremlin" (who will also be in The Hague, according to Simonyan, because she knows he is a member of the FSB), Skabeeva is less categorical: it follows from her speech that only the leaders of "Putin's Reich" are responsible and key propagandists.
Fourth, they are already preparing the rest of the Russians who will have to accept that their money will be directed to the payment of war reparations.
Fifth, against the background of an increasingly tangible and inevitable defeat, the task of propaganda is to instill in all Russians a sense of collective guilt, which means to "unite" them in the spirit "behind Moscow, and in front of The Hague there is nowhere to retreat."
Sixth, this is where Skabeeva's explanation of why it is necessary to bomb Ukraine comes from: "without Hague tribunals, criminal cases, compensation, reparations, so that none of this happens, we need an intensification of hostilities, we need pressure and pressure so that they turn to us for a truce or establishment of peace".
The "fear of The Hague" is already so strong that Russian Putin's "war mosquito" - ambassador to the UN Vasil Nebenzia - joined the discussion on this topic.

He stated that "the initiative of the European Commission to create some kind of tribunal for Ukraine under the auspices of the UN is an attempt to give legitimacy to lawlessness towards the Russian Federation...".

In fact, the fact that Nebenzia quite clearly described the legal mechanism that the West is now trying to implement also suggests that the "mosquito" is awake. Which means for condemnation.
So, let's remind you, it is about the EU's proposal for the creation of the International Court against Putin and the persons involved in the events of February 24 and those that preceded it.
Experts explain that, by analogy with the Nuremberg Court (and there is a precedent, so it is logical to refer to it), the principled decision to create such a special body is being made right now, before the end of hostilities.
For the first time, the issue of a tribunal to try Hitler and his associates was fundamentally raised at the Yalta Conference in 1945. The real decisions were made later - the Statute of the Tribunal was adopted in August 1945, and the process itself began at the end of autumn of the same year. However, decisions on reconciliation were made earlier.
It's the same now. Hostilities in Ukraine continue, but their outcome is beyond doubt. Therefore, it is logical that the question "what next" is already being asked.
Why is the question of a new tribunal raised? Because the situation is unusual. It is a country that has nuclear weapons and is one of the permanent members of the UN Security Council. What is needed is not just a decision imposed by capitulation, but one that has a legal basis. It can be given in just one sentence. However, none of the existing international judicial bodies have jurisdiction to resolve such issues.

Therefore, they will be created, and in the same way as for the Nuremberg Tribunal - without precedent. In other words, this tribunal should become the only one of its kind, and after the work is completed, it will be dissolved.

Of course, the Kremlin does not (yet) recognize such a decision. Therefore, Moscow appeals that such a decision is illegitimate, insisting that it be adopted exclusively by the UN Security Council, whereby the Russian Federation will, of course, veto, and the PRC, at best, will abstain.
Therefore, the order of the EU's action is not disputed either: capitulation first, then trial. Moreover, unlike Germany in 1945, no one will occupy Russia in 2022.

But there will be such forms of persuasion under which all the accused will be handed over to the Tribunal without any conditions. Even if Russia does not capitulate, its new government will certainly extradite the most heinous war criminals.
Again, there is precedent. On April 1, 2001, the former president of Yugoslavia, Slobodan Milošević, was arrested in accordance with Yugoslav law on charges of war crimes. On June 28, he was extradited from the former Yugoslavia to the International Court in The Hague and transferred to the UN prison in The Hague.
This is why Russian propagandists are worried about this Hague issue. They (at least their leading staff, which includes Nebenzija) will definitely end up on the dock.
Let us remind you that only the 21st Nazi leader was tried in Nuremberg itself at the main tribunal. At further trials, 177 people appeared before the court. After that, thousands of others who killed or helped to kill were found and punished.
And that it is already working is evidenced by the legal fact proven in The Hague on November 17 - the Russian order for life imprisonment is already progressing. In addition, let us recall, it was decided to pay material compensation to the families of the victims of flight MH17. So, the International Court is already at the door of the Kremlin.
