Four torture camps were discovered in the liberated region of Kherson

In total, law enforcement officials have already discovered 11 places in the Kherson region where the Russian military held civilians. According to the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada, he has not seen such scale of torture in other territories liberated by the Ukrainian army.
Ukrainian law enforcement officials have already discovered 11 detention facilities, including four torture chambers, in the Russian-occupied parts of the Kherson region, the press service of the National Police of Ukraine reported.

"The aggressors illegally detained and tortured Ukrainian citizens on the territory and in the basements of private houses, in the premises of five educational institutions, as well as in a store," said the head of the Department for Organizational Analytical Support and Operational Response of the National Police of Ukraine, Aleksey Sergeyev. He also reported that police officers found the bodies of 30 dead civilians.

A day earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine published a photo of one of the torture centers discovered in Kherson. In the pictures, you can see prayers scratched on the walls and traces of the countdown of the prisoners' stay in the institution.
As Dmitro Lubinec, the human rights commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada, said in a telephone statement, he was shocked by the scale of what he saw in the torture chambers in Kherson.
"There is a difference even compared to the territories of Kharkiv and Kyiv regions... I have never seen such a scale, and I have personally visited all torture centers in different regions of Ukraine. The scale is simply terrible," said Lubinets.
According to him, the occupiers tortured Ukrainians with electric current, broke their bones, beat them with metal pipes and killed them. In addition, the Russian occupiers recorded all the crimes on video.

The place of the mass burial was discovered

As Lubinec noted, the torture camps, as well as the filtration camps, the office of the military command, are part of the system that the Russian Federation is building in the occupied cities, so after the liberation of the territory, there will be places for torture in every large settlement of Ukraine that was under control Russian Federation.
In addition, a mass cemetery was discovered in Kherson, Lubinec said, but did not provide details, noting that access to journalists will be granted after all procedural actions and documentation of war crimes have been completed.
