EULEX hands over its largest donation to the Kosovo Correctional Service
On the 30th of December 2024, the Hed of Monitoring Pillar of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), Giovanni Galzignato, with the EULEX Chief of Correctional Unit, Anu Melkko, handed over to the Director General of the Kosovo Correctional Service (KCS), Ismail Dibrani, the largest Mission donation to this institution.
The donation included one vehicle, 293 IT and ICT items, 115 office furniture items and other equipment pieces. The items were selected by the KCS and will be delivered to all correctional facilities across Kosovo, depending on the respective needs.
During the signing ceremony, held at the EULEX Support Compound in Pristina, Galzignato thanked the KCS for the excellent cooperation with the Mission and stressed that this donation is a testimony to the Mission steadfast commitment to continuing supporting the KCS, with the ultimate goal of strengthening the Kosovo justice system.
Dibrani expressed gratitude to EULEX for its unwavering support as a strategic partner of the KCS, pointing out that the successful journey of the KCS wouldn’t be possible without the support of the Mission over the years.
