EU-funded project for civil society in Georgia’s regions launched in Tbilisi

The two-year ‘REACT for Georgia: Resilient, Engaged, Active Civil Society for Transformation’ project was launched in Tbilisi on 26 February, with the support of the European Union and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS).
The project aims to strengthen local civil society in Georgia’s regions, promoting democratic governance and civic engagement. Planned activities will be carried out in 10 regions of Georgia, with a focus on implementing local community initiatives, enhancing the skills of young people, and fostering cooperation with local businesses.
The project includes a grant component to support civil society hubs, local initiatives, civil activists, and corporate social responsibility.
On 26-27 February, the REACT project hosted a two-day inception workshop with regional partners. Starting from March 2025, the REACT team will conduct meetings across Georgia’s regions to introduce the project’s goals and planned activities to the wider public.
