EU and Armenia mark successful completion of phase II Justice Reform Project
On 13 October, the European Union Delegation to Armenia, alongside Armenian justice institutions, international partners, and the EU Technical Assistance Team, marked the conclusion of the EU-funded project ‘Support to Justice Sector Reform in Armenia – Phase II’.
Over the course of the project, from May 2024 to May 2026, the initiative delivered 37 trainings and workshops, reaching more than 1,200 justice sector professionals and stakeholders, and produced over 33 analytical and knowledge products to support evidence-based policymaking and institutional development.
The project also facilitated seven international study visits, two EU-Armenia Strategic Justice Policy Dialogues and a donor coordination meeting, strengthening professional capacities, policy dialogue and cooperation between Armenian institutions and European counterparts.
“These achievements provide a valuable foundation for continued progress towards a more effective, accountable and citizen-centred justice system,” the EU Delegation to Armenia said in a Facebook post.
While ‘Support to Justice Sector Reform in Armenia – Phase II’ has officially concluded, European Union officials reaffirmed the EU’s long-term commitment to supporting Armenia’s reform efforts, strengthening the rule of law, promoting anti-corruption measures and advancing respect for fundamental rights.
