BULGARIAN DONATION PROMOTED Electronic diary for people with diabetes
Bulgarian Prime Minister Petkov said that diabetes is a very close topic to his heart, because his second daughter has type 1 diabetes and the difference between a quality life without problems and problems with this disease is that blood sugar is monitored correctly.
The project for development assistance "Electronic diary for people with diabetes", today Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov, who is visiting the country, presented to Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski as a donation to the Republic of Bulgaria.
Based on the project, the daily application Dnevnik was developed, which, as the general manager of Skyle Focus Dooel, Sofce Jovanovska, pointed out, will facilitate the life of diabetics, and will enable doctors to have a detailed insight into the analysis of patients' measured values.
- The team of Skyle Focus during the realization of the project developed this application in consultation with doctors, subspecialists, but also with the Association of Diabetes. This application allows patients to write the measured values on their mobile phones in a very simple mobile application without having to do it on paper, as they have done so far. The application allows the obtained analyzes for a certain period of time to be compared with doctors, family doctors, endocrinologists, but also with close family members who care about the health of these patients. The application with different colors indicates the different values of the measured value of blood sugar. If it is a risk value marked in red, the application automatically sends a notification to doctors or family members that there is some serious value for which you can react immediately - said Jovanovska.
Additionally, she pointed out, the patient sets notifications where and when he can and when he should measure his blood sugar level.
Additional value of this application is that it allows sharing. When the patient goes to his family doctor to allow him to see the analysis of the data for a certain period of time. The physician looks at the data and based on the analysis and measurements made can consult, predict or evaluate the therapy or other conditions that affect the blood sugar level. Doctors can also receive notifications for a specific group of patients in two periods during the day at 11 and 18 o'clock. If it is an extreme value outside of these time periods the doctor or family member receives a notification and can react immediately to save someone's life. In making this application, we used all the latest technological advances to maintain data security - added Jovanovska.
Bulgarian Prime Minister Petkov said that diabetes is a very close topic to his heart, because his second daughter has type 1 diabetes and the difference between a quality life without problems and problems with this disease is that blood sugar is monitored correctly.
- With this type of innovation like this, people with diabetes can have a normal life. I am glad that this type of cooperation between companies that are innovative can show that the cooperation between Northern Macedonia and Bulgaria can make competitive products that will occupy world markets - added Petkov.
The Minister of Health Bekim Sali also attended the promotion of the project.
Prior to the promotion of the project, as announced by the Ministry of Health, the importance of the implementation of projects to improve the situation in the field of health was discussed.
