NATO provides Montenegro with monitoring and intelligence software

The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) will provide the Montenegrin Ministry of Defense and the Army with free use of NATO-owned software programmes used to support logistics, the navy, intelligence activities, monitoring and planning operations, tactical communications and more. This is stated in the Government’s information on concluding license agreements between the NCIA and the Ministry of Defense of Montenegro with draft agreements, Pobjeda reports.

Montenegro, in order to be given the mentioned software programmes, still has to meet NATO requirements. Thus, it is forbidden to use NATO software on secret networks (such as Mission Secret or National Secret).

The use on hard disks based on hardware that uses full disk encryption is also mandatory.
