IAEA approved two projects for implementation in Montenegro in the cycle 2022-2023

The Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), at its session held at the end of November 2021, adopted the Technical Cooperation Program 2022-2023. year, which includes two approved projects for Montenegro.

The following two projects were approved in the "national projects" category:

"MNE9007" Building Capacity for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Patients with Malignant Diseases "(Building Capacity for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Cancer Patients) in the total value of EUR 176,820.00 and

"MNE 5005" Enhancing the Capacity of the National Veterinary Laboratory for the Detection of Highly Contagious Animal Diseases "in the total value of EUR 216,461.00.

Institutions-bearers of projects in Montenegro are the Clinical Center of Montenegro and the Specialist Veterinary Laboratory.

Practical implementation begins on January 1, 2022 and ends on December 31, 2023.

We remind you that the proposed Program of Cooperation of Montenegro with the IAEA, for the period 2022-2023. based on the priorities contained in the Framework Program for Cooperation between Montenegro and the Agency in Vienna. In the current cooperation between Montenegro and the IAEA, the focus has been on support in the field of health (diagnostic radiology and oncology), agriculture (food safety) and support for the development of a functional national system in the field of radiation protection. Total value of approved projects for the period 2007-2021. year is over 4 million EUR.
