Ambassador Reinke visits Cetinje to Mark Security Equipment Donations to Local Criminal Justice Institutions and Administration

Ambassador Judy Reinke visited the Old Royal Capital Cetinje, where she met Mayor Aleksandar Kascelan, Head of the Basic State Prosecution Dusko Milanovic, and judicial and other officials.

The visit was organized to commemorate the U.S. Embassy’s security equipment donations to the Cetinje Basic State Prosecution, Cetinje Courts, and the local administration. The donations, provided through the Rule of Law Program of the State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), will contribute to more secure working environment for the employees and visitors of these institutions.

INL provides continuous assistance to the criminal justice institutions of Montenegro.  Since 2010, the U.S. Embassy has allocated almost 12 million dollars for programs to help improve Montenegro’s capacities in the fight against corruption and organized crime.
