WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE EU, FOUR CENTRES WERE ESTABLISHED TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF CREATIVE INDUSTRIES

Through the project “Creative Industries for Employment without Borders”, the European Union supported the establishment of four centres to support easier employment in the sector of creative industries. The centres were established as a partnership initiative of the 21 actor of local development, who, by signing a cooperation agreement, established centres in Danilovgrad, Konjic, Bijelo Polje and Jablanica.

By signing the agreement on the establishment of the centres, the conditions have been created for the procurement of the necessary equipment, adaptation of the space and for the centres to start operating by November 2022. With the opening of these four centres, Danilovgrad, Konjic, Bijelo Polje and Jablanica will get a unique, fully equipped multifunctional space that will innovatively support the development of creative industries and provide new jobs.

The centres will be managed in partnership by public and private organizations that are signatories to the agreement. In addition to information services, the centres will also provide professional training services for acquiring new work skills. Training is planned, from photography courses to working on CNC machines, and visitors will be able to use IT equipment and workspace in the centres.

It is expected that by the end of 2023, the centres will provide services for over 1,000 young people and thus have a positive impact on the cross-border connection of actors in the creative industries sector.

The project “Creative Industries for Employment without Borders” is financed by the European Union, through the Cross-border Cooperation Program Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro. It is  implemented by the Municipality of Jablanica in cooperation with the organization Multimedial from Bijelo Polje, the Municipality of Danilovgrad (CG) and the LiNK Association from Mostar. The total value of the project is 455,000 euros, of which the European Union finances 367,
