U.S. Embassy Continues Support for Montenegro’s Law Enforcement with New Donations
On December 24, U.S. Ambassador Judy Rising Reinke introduced the refurbishment of the Podgorica Police Station, a project that includes critical upgrades such as new flooring, office furniture, improved ventilation, and other enhancements designed to improve working conditions for officers. She also presented the donation of two vehicles to the Ministry of the Interior’s Internal Control and Anti-Corruption Units. These vehicles will support their everyday work and strengthen the units’ investigative capacity.
These donations are part of the U.S. Embassy’s ongoing commitment to strengthening law enforcement and advancing justice in Montenegro. They aim to enhance the investigative capabilities of our partner agencies and promote community-oriented policing by providing the infrastructure needed for efficient crime reporting.
The U.S. Embassy’s International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) led these efforts, with funding from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
