Started IPA project on procurement of equipment for ZZZCG

Within the framework of the One-Year Action Program for Montenegro for 2020 - "Support for smart and inclusive growth - employment and social inclusion" for which the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare is responsible, and which is financed from the pre-accession funds IPA II and co-financed by the Government of Montenegro, the implementation of the contract on the procurement of equipment "Improvement of the existing IT infrastructure and development of the new information system of the Employment Agency of Montenegro" has begun.

Above all, the mentioned project is intended to provide support to ZZZCG to strengthen its capacities in order to better respond to the needs of its clients and ensure access to services. Also, to establish a comprehensive database for the statistical profiling of the unemployed in order to harmonize them with the appropriate active measures of the labor market and ensure an adequate and timely response to the needs of employers. The goal of the project is to improve professional rehabilitation services for employed and unemployed persons with disabilities and serve as a reliable statistical tool for monitoring and evaluating active labor market measures provided by the Institute, and at the same time create prerequisites for the necessary networking with databases of relevant institutions. Also, the project will undoubtedly represent a powerful basis for joining the EURES network, given that by joining the EURES mobility network, the Government of Montenegro will fulfill the requirements of the negotiation process in terms of compliance with the EU acquis in this area.

This project is divided into two thematic units (LOTs), according to which the procurement of equipment is also divided. For the first thematic unit, the implementation of the contract began on August 19 and will last 18 months, while for the second it began on September 22 and will last 12 months. Contracts for the implementation of the project were signed with the companies Infostream and Čika from Podgorica.

The total value of both contracts within the same tender procedure is around 2 million euros, of which EU funding makes up 85% of the funds, and national co-financing amounts to 15%.
