Seven Montenegrin partners received support within the Fourth Call of the Interreg Euro-MED program

Seven institutions and organizations from Montenegro will participate in the same number of thematic projects approved under the Fourth Call for Proposals of the Interreg Euro-MED 2021-2027 Cooperation Programme.
The decision was made at the meeting of the Interreg Euro-MED Monitoring Committee, held in Marseille (France) on 6 March 2025, at which 23 out of a total of 167 submitted project proposals were approved for funding.
The total value of all approved projects is approximately 46.3 million euros, while the value of the participation of Montenegrin partners is 1.2 million euros, of which 80% is a grant from the European Union.
Through cooperation with partner institutions from the European Mediterranean, the Port of Kotor, the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, the Business Start Bar Foundation, the Center for Tourism Development and Cooperation, the Municipality of Bar, the Municipality of Budva and the Municipality of Nikšić will participate in the projects.
Six projects involving Montenegrin partners are testing project ideas, while one project is dedicated to results transfer activities. When it comes to program missions, four Montenegrin partners will work on projects in the field of sustainable tourism, while the other 3 partners will implement projects aimed at strengthening the innovative economy, protecting and valorizing nature, i.e. green settlements.
It is planned that the implementation of the approved projects will begin on 1 April 2025. In order to prepare partners for project implementation, an online seminar will be organized on 3 April 2025, which will be open to all partners participating in projects approved under the Fourth Call.

The Ministry of European Affairs of Montenegro congratulates all supported institutions and wishes them success in implementing their projects.
