Putin's men for special military operations in the Balkans

No extremist is harmless, and these narrow-minded people are able to create an incident, but their political weight is minimal and their power is non-existent. They are not even able to make an honest litany...
Tomislav Marković

In Russia, freedom of thought and speech, social justice, equality before the law, material well-being, rule of law, dignity of person and similar non-indigenous cultures do not succeed. Such a climate is cold, harsh and authoritarian.

On the other hand, the social climate is extremely suitable for the growth and development of propaganda, which succeeds beyond measure. In Russia, there is a culture of lies for export, so it is no wonder that it can be seen all over the world, how it affects the American elections and Brexit or how it fundamentally shapes public opinion in Serbia.
The given example speaks volumes about the success of Russian propaganda, but it is not too bad to mention some other star classes of machinery for the mass production of lies. The well-known conspiracy theory (Serbian: lie and paralysis) according to which the AIDS virus was artificially produced in American laboratories is the fruit of Soviet propaganda, more precisely the KGB, the parent house of today's ruler of Russia, Vladimir Putin.

From the same kitchen originates the false story that the Ebola virus was artificially created in an American laboratory and that John Kennedy was killed by the CIA.

The glorious days of Russian propaganda
Modern heirs of Soviet propaganda are not doing badly either, it is enough to see how many people believe that Russia in Ukraine is really dealing with Nazism.

Even in a more reasonable part of the world, Putin's false stories are circulating, so in Western countries there are debates about whether NATO is to blame for the war in Ukraine. When the army of one country crosses the border of another sovereign country and starts killing and demolishing everything in its path, it is really difficult to determine who is to blame for starting a war conflict. Who knows, maybe Poland is also to blame for starting the Second World War, maybe Great Britain and the USA are the main culprits, only Russian propaganda hasn't told us that yet.

There is a long tradition of Russian propaganda, and we should not forget one of its most famous crimes - the book "Protocols of the Elders of Zion", an anti-Semitic forgery compiled by agents of the Imperial Guard. To this day, that book-killer has its devotees who do not believe that it is a plagiarism of the work "Dialogue in Hell between Machiavelli and Montesquieu" by Maurice Joly, although the comparative reading of the two texts is not an overly demanding job.

When you take into account the serious scope of Russian state lies, the latest work of Russia Today television leaves a rather sad impression. The other day, Narečene TV broadcast a pseudo-documentary show with the significant title "Serbia: Signs of War; The stark future of the Kosovo conflict" in which he cheers for the start of a new war in the Balkans.

It is no secret that the destabilization of the Balkans is an integral part of Russian foreign policy, and that local pro-Russian forces are intensively working on it. It is not a secret that Putin and his entourage wish for a new war in our region, these are all commonplaces known to anyone who even follows the media.

More interesting is who Russia is counting on in that potential conflict. Judging by the TV show, Putin's main trump cards are right-wing fringes Miša Vacić, leader of the Serbian Right and Damnjan Knežević, leader of the People's Patrols. The two of them were the main interlocutors of the so-called Russian journalists, and in fact the parrots of the Kremlin. Miša Vacić openly announced the denazification of the Serbian world, following the example of Putin's denazification of Ukraine.

It is quite logical that a man who likes to greet people by blowing up his right wing advocates denazification, although if we were to take that term in its literal meaning, it would be quite a suicidal endeavor.

The right to special operations
"My son and other children will live in a country of absolute peace, where all Serbian countries are gathered, from the Serbian sea, through Serbian Bosnia, Serbian Kosovo... Just as Russia succeeds in denazifying, demilitarizing and liberating the Russian world, so we Serbs have the right, through special operations, to create a Serbian world that will live in peace and freedom," Vacić told a Russian propaganda newspaper.

Vacić has only a few easy steps left to realize his dream of new crimes and genocides in the neighborhood for the sake of realizing the nationalists' eternal fixed idea of uniting all Serbs into one state. If only his movement, which is at the level of a statistical error, becomes ultra-popular, wins the elections, and there is an opportunity for a repeat of the nineties of the last century.

Another option is to persuade Aleksandar Vučić to start a war, since the latter, through his political cronies and media henchmen, is constantly working to raise tensions with his neighbors and to incite chauvinistic hatred towards everything that is not Serbian. In any case, Vučić is responsible for the existence of the comic figure of Vacić on the political scene of Serbia, and a few years ago he also helped other right-wing organizations in collecting signatures before the elections, primarily Leviathan and Zavetniki.

The progressives helped Vacić's Serbian Right to enter the local assembly of Vranje. There were also humorous details. The Serbian Right was number four in the local elections, and the Party of Vojvodina Hungarians was number four in the parliamentary elections, so over 1,200 citizens who voted for Miša Vacić circled the number four on the ballot for the parliamentary elections, just in case. Thus, the Hungarians received a large number of votes in Vranje, even though this minority does not live in the city in the south of Serbia at all.

In 2013, Vacić was sentenced to a suspended sentence for inciting hatred towards LGBT people, illegal carrying of weapons and preventing the police from performing their duties. That did not prevent the progressive leader Marko Đurić from hiring him in the Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija, spreading hatred and carrying weapons is a recommendation for civil service, especially if the candidate has been officially convicted of his misdemeanors.

Patrols for abusing refugees
Damnjan Knežević, the second Russian trump card for stoking the fire of war in the Balkans, is an even more colorful phenomenon than the unfortunate Vacić, otherwise permanently and principledly at odds with his mother tongue, the man literally has a problem composing a simple-extended sentence, as befits a true Serbian patriot and defender of Serbian language.

"We will not leave a single child, even if they lived in Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo. It is the duty of our generation to ensure that no one is left behind, no one is forgotten. Many war veterans are with us, many people who went through Syria, Ukraine, the bombing in 1999", Knežević told RT, sending a clear message to the Kremlin that reads: "Count on us".

Knežević is one of the founders of the Serbian Council of Covenanters, he was the vice-president of this party until he was removed from office, then he left them and devoted himself to independent right-wing actions. In the end, he formed the so-called People's Patrols, groups that cruise Serbian cities at night and abuse unfortunate migrants. A Russian television crew spent the night with Knežević's People's Patrols, filming them harassing migrants. In the sea of senseless right-wing activities, spreading fear of refugees is one of the most idiotic for the simple reason that none of them wants to stay in Serbia, they all want to join the European Union.

It is not easy to be a racist and xenophobe in the country of Serbia, where there is no foreigner in sight, and your identity and political program are exhausted in hatred of foreigners. What to do when no one wants to come, live and work here, on the contrary, more and more of the resident population is running away from here head on. It would be much easier for people's patrols in a more orderly country where there are foreigners, to which migrants flock from all sides, for example in France or Germany. There they could preach how evil foreigners are stealing jobs from the native population, disrupting our indigenous European way of life and corrupting the xenophobic European culture with their unwanted otherness.

In Serbia, almost no one falls for such stories, despite the general tendency towards phantasms and fabrications that drift to the right. Fortunately, the refugee route to the countries of the European Union leads through Serbia, so our racists also got some kind of opportunity to show all the luxury of their hateful stupidity.

Candidates for Russian governor
Well, these are Putin's people for launching special military operations in the Balkans. The Russian media openly supports Serbian right-wingers and advocates new war conflicts. Admittedly, when it comes to Russian state media, media is not exactly the most accurate term. Their job is not to report on what is happening, to reveal the truth and facts, but to shape the old age in accordance with the warmongering Kremlin agenda and push us all back into ruin. This is not hidden in the RT show, a new war is announced in three, six months or the next year. At the beginning of the report, it is stated: "The shooting at the Brnjak border crossing, like a hundred years ago in Sarajevo, almost led to a global crisis."

According to Kremlin propagandists, it turns out that some anonymous shooter close to the Serbian List is the new Gavrilo Princip who almost started a new world war. And if the person in question failed to set fire to the Balkans, there are Frisian lighters in human form called Vacić & Knežević. Putin's instigators really don't know where they are hitting anymore. This disorientation is also visible in the fact that obscure right-wingers were hired as contractors in the field.

Of course, no extremist is harmless, even these narrow-minded people are able to create an incident, but their political weight is minimal and their power is non-existent. They are not even able to make an honest litany, and they have to be organized by the Russian services.
Admittedly, not even Putin's servants, who are entrusted with the management of Chechnya, Transnistria or Donetsk, are made of high-quality human material, neither intelligence, nor education, nor talent are necessary for the job of the Russian governor. Knežević and Vacić are quite good candidates for the position, although there are many other Putinophiles in the competition, such as Boško Obradović from Dveri or Milica Đurđević from Zavetnik.

It's not bad to watch some shows of Kremlin propaganda, just to remember how lucky we are that Serbia is far from Russia.
