New tourist trail in Vranjina with EU support
The long and complex trail on Vranjina, with an incredible view of Lake Skadar, will be a real gem for all those who love to be in nature. Future visitors owe this pleasure to the project "Cultural reactivation of Vranji through culture and history" financed by the European Union and implemented by the NGO Psiho-Vodič.
The free tourist trail will be symbolically opened on February 4, 2023, on the occasion of the celebration of the International Day of Wetlands and Wetland Habitats, which takes place on February 2.
"Originally, a much shorter, semi-circular track was planned, however, when we started going to the field to tour, we saw that there was a possibility to expand it and to arrange it much better. Then we approached it and we made three points that can be the beginning or the end and numerous variations, it can be a circular path, it can be a path to start from the same point and return. For the opening of the track itself, we made some two variants", said the president of Psiho Vodič, Ružica Stanković, as a guest on Gradska television.
In the previous period, work was done on the valorization of the trail in Vranjina, so the design of the info board for the trail, marking of the trail, a couple of benches were installed from which you can enjoy the view of Lake Skadar and the natural beauty of the surroundings. A series of photo sessions promoting the mentioned area, as well as a video that shows the beauty of Vranjina in the best possible way, were made.
The opening of the track is part of the project "Cultural reactivation of Vranji through culture and history" which the NGO Psiho-Vodič implements as part of the ReLOaD2 program, funded by the EU, and implemented by UNDP in 15 local governments in cooperation with the NGO Zeta Ecosport.
