HEP heating is implemented by EU project worth HRK 79 million
HEP-Toplinarstvo presented today at the introductory conference "Replacing the Velvod Wall of Te-to Osijek to the plane of Osijek". The total value of the project is HRK 78.91 million, of which 46.01 million kunas account for grants from the European Fund for Regional Development, allocated under the Operational Program "Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014 - 2020".
The HEP-Toplinaria project was supported by the Ministry of Regional Development and European Union Funds as a capital project in the Osijek-Baranja County energy system, which will create the prerequisites for the sustainability and environmental acceptability of the energy system in Osijek.
"The Croatian Elektroprivreda continuously invests in the quality of the Osijek Central Thermal System and the security of customer supply of heat energy. So at the location of Te-to Osijek, we plan to build a new high-efficiency van of the cogeneration plant, worth more than 500 million kuna. In the thermal power plants in the realization and plan we have more projects, total value of about 180 million kuna. Osijek is an example of intensive realization of a renewable HEP development scenario. In the area of the city we have 22 elenic bottling booths for electric vehicles and five solar power plants installed on the roofs of our business facilities. All of the mentioned projects of great importance to citizens and the economy, as well as for global climatic goals, including the project replacement project, are realized thanks to the strong synergy of the City of Osijek, County, HEP and the Government of the Republic of Croatia, "said Frane Barbarić, president Management of Croatian Elektroprivreda.
Existing coupling of the thermal power plane-toplane Osijek to the plane of Osijek, a length of 4.4 kilometers and a 550 millimeter in diameter, was deposited in 1987. With the aim of continuing the successful performance of the heat energy distribution in the City of Osijek, and thus satisfying the heat needs of more than 11,500 end customers connected to the hotspaper network, HEP-heating will replace the existing coupling hotter with new and more modern, 800 millimeters diameter. This will increase the security of the supply of end customers with thermal energy and enable further development of hotwear networks in the area of Osijek.
"Replacing the coupling pelvis of the thermal power plant Osijek to the plane of Osijek is one of the six strategic projects within the urban agglomeration of Osijek, which together apply about HRK 290 million and significantly raise the municipal standard and quality of life of citizens. By realizing this investment, citizens and economic operators of Osijek will receive a reliable and energy-efficient heat system in Osijek, as well as the possibility of further development, with a cleaner and healthier environment, therefore, thanks to HEP and the competent ministry and congrats on the successful preparation of such a complex project. This is just one in a series of major strategic projects currently being implemented in the area of Osijek, a total value over a billion kuna, and new ones exceeding 2 billion are being prepared, making Osijek clearly confirming its role as a driver of urban and economic development of this region ", said Ivan Radić, Mayor of the City of Osijek.
The completion of the project will reduce the losses in the distribution of heat energy from 7.66% to 6.58%, which will lead to the savings of primary fuel in the production of heat energy in Osijek of
6.151 MWh and consequently reducing carbon dioxide emissions in the amount of 4,378 tons per year. Out of a total of 4.4 kilometers of the coupling peak, 300 meters will be replaced in 2021.
In 2022, 3.5 kilometers will be replaced, and 535 meters remaining during 2023, when the project and ends.
