Facilitated access to support programs throught the web site biznis.gov.me

MED and EBRD are preparing a portal on available MSME support programs with a focus on women's entrepreneurship, young and less developed municipalities

The Ministry of Economic Development (MED) is completing the development of the biznis.gov.me portal, which will be aimed at MSME representatives with a focus on women's entrepreneurship, young and less developed municipalities.

The project is implemented in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and aims to provide comprehensive information on the types of financial and non-financial support available to businessmen in Montenegro. The EBRD is an important partner in the economic development of Montenegro and this is reflected in the strong support they provide in the implementation of some of the key projects that will accelerate economic activity and improve the living standards of citizens such as this one.

“Micro, small and medium enterprises, as the sector that makes up the largest part of the total number of enterprises, greatly contribute to economic development and competitiveness of the economy and according to all relevant indicators, generally record dynamic growth and development, and we are obliged to do everything to facilitate access to available financial and non-financial resources. One of the main benefits of the portal is that citizens will have all the necessary information in one place about the support programs they are interested in and that suit them and will not have to go through exhaustive procedures and obtain a large number of different documents, which in many cases rejects people to apply. The focus is on the presentation and promotion of available support programs so that all information can be found by its user or someone who is interested in receiving that information. This actually forms the foundation of the portal and gives it the character of a comprehensive information station that exists for the sake of users and draws its existence from the needs of users " emphasized Minister Milatović.

We remind you that according to the Revenue and Customs Administration, the number of MSMEs in 2021 was 34,035 [1], which is an increase of 2.65% compared to 2020 (33,157 companies), or 15.24% compared to 2018. (29,534 companies). In the total number of employees, MSMEs participate with 80.96%, and in 2021 they employed 143,464 workers, which is an increase in the number of employees of 1.42% compared to 2020. The goal of the portal is to increase the number of MSMEs that use MED support mechanisms and everything is user-oriented and easier access to all available resources. The portal will include, among other things, the Program for Improving Competitiveness through 8 individual lines with a total value of 4 million euros, the Program for the Development of the Manufacturing Industry worth 1 million euros and the Craft Promotion Program worth 200,000 euros.

The portal will be located at www.biznis.gov.me.
