Digitization for the Improvement of Tourism in Kolašin
The NGO Cluster Initiative, which implements these activities through the project "Digitization 1.0 - Full digitization of tourism products", organized an info day for 40 representatives of small businesses and agricultural producers.
The Kingdom of Norway supports the digitalization of tourist products in Kolašin with 35,000 Euros, through the project "Norway for you - Montenegro".
The NGO Cluster Initiative, which implements these activities through the project "Digitization 1.0 - Full digitization of tourism products", organized an info day for 40 representatives of small businesses and agricultural producers, to provide details on the development of a platform for networking tourism providers.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development, the Municipality of Kolašin, as well as small business owners and agricultural producers from Kolašin and Mojkovac.
"The objective of this project is to digitize the offer of tourist representatives by creating a specialized tourist platform, enriching the tourist offer of private accommodation lessors, opening new sales channels for tourist service providers and agricultural producers and collecting data on the tourist offer in Kolašin," Milovan Vlahović, the Executive Director of the NGO Cluster Initiative said.
According to the expected results, this application will be used by at least 50 tourism service providers, ten agricultural producers will open new sales channels through networking with other private accommodation owners and their guests, and sales growth in tourism services should increase by five percent.
“This project is one of five to be supported by a total of 193,000 euros, through a public call for support for small businesses implemented by the project "Norway for you - Montenegro". Their activities are aimed at increasing the competitiveness of at least 70 small businesses in Montenegro through their transformation," said Armen Čekić, manager of the project "Norway for you - Montenegro" implemented by UNOPS.
