Denisova: Russia forcibly deported more than 400,000 Ukrainians

The citizens of Ukraine are first placed in filtration camps, and then taken by train to the "depressed" regions of Russia, said the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Ukrainian Parliament.

MP and commissioner of the Ukrainian Parliament for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova said that Ukraine is collecting evidence of alleged Russian war crimes. According to her, since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, more than 400,000 citizens of Ukraine have been forcibly relocated to Russia. This was announced by the Euronews news channel.

Denisova claims that the citizens of Ukraine, who found themselves in the temporarily occupied territory, were forced to go to Russia against their will.

"First, they were forcibly taken to a filtration camp in the Donetsk region, and then transported by train across the territory of the Russian Federation," said Commissioner Denisova.

Citizens of Ukraine are being sent to so-called "depressed" regions, such as Sakhalin, said Denisova.

Denisova also accused the authorities of the Russian Federation of not organizing any sustainable humanitarian corridor during the fighting. In that regard, according to her, everything that happened and is happening today in Mariupol is genocide against the Ukrainian people.

It should be reminded that the Minister for Reintegration of the Occupied Territories, Irina Vereshchuk, said on March 25 that 14 Ukrainian mayors were captured by Russian forces, and the Russian Federation is asking for a parity exchange of prisoners. Vereshchuk was indignant at the conditions set by the Kremlin and wondered when Kyiv would replace the captured mayors.

Russia plans to hold a "referendum" in Kherson, identical to the scenario that could be seen in Donbas, in order to create a quasi-state entity "KhNR". To achieve this, the Russian leadership plans to involve the Russian security service FSB.
