Croatia with money from the EU plus HRK 68.30 billion
Croatia withdrew 8.51 billion euros from the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) from 2013 to November 17 this year, which is 79.3 percent of the allocated funds from EU funds, and the state budget is in surplus by 68.3 billion HRK, the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds announced today.
The Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds, Nataša Tramišak, presented today at the Government session the Report on the state of utilization of ESI funds in the Republic of Croatia, which was then adopted.
For the period 2014 - 2020, a total of EUR 10.73 billion, or HRK 80.85 billion, was available to Croatia from the European Structural and Investment Funds.
By November 17 of this year, projects worth EUR 13.75 billion or HRK 103.58 billion, or 128.11 percent of the allocated funds, were contracted.
In total, EUR 8.51 billion or HRK 64.09 billion, or 79.26 percent of the allocated funds, were paid, and EUR 6.92 billion (HRK 52.17 billion), or 64.52 percent of the allocated funds, were certified.
If 763.17 million euros from REACT EU and 597.56 million euros added to the Rural Development Program are added to the original allocation of ESI funds in 2014 - 2020 in the amount of 10.73 billion euros, the total allocation until 2023 is 12.09 billion euros.
In the period from 2013 to November 17 of this year, the difference between funds paid from the EU budget to the budget of the Republic of Croatia and funds paid from the budget of the Republic of Croatia to the budget of the EU amounts to HRK 56.90 billion in favor of the budget of the Republic of Croatia. Including the paid advance for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NPOO), Croatia has a surplus of HRK 68.30 billion, according to the Ministry's announcement.
