Certified Small Businesses for a Healthier Environment

Seven small businesses from Danilovgrad, Nikšić, Bijelo Polje, and Mojkovac improved their competitiveness with the support of the Kingdom of Norway. The NGO "Biznis centar" from Nikšić and the partner organization Danilovgrad Municipality successfully implemented the project "Implementation of environmental management and quality system", funded through the "Norway for You - Montenegro" project, which enabled the introduction of the relevant ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, as well as the promotion of the best quality practices.

The final conference of this project was held in the Business Info Centre Danilovgrad, also established through "Norway for You - Montenegro", when the representatives of these businesses were presented with certificates of appreciation for participating in the project.

The project supported small businesses to benefit from the implementation of ISO standards by identifying their current processes, analyzing risks, and identifying all opportunities for business improvement, while following the recommendations of these ISO standards given by consultants and experts for their implementation. This developed the awareness of the business in accordance with the objectives of environmental protection in order to strengthen the social responsibility of all companies supported by this project.

The project "Implementation of environmental management and quality system" is financed by the Kingdom of Norway through the project "Norway for You - Montenegro" with around 35,000 euros.
