Announced support to entrepreneurs within the IPARD II program through the IV Public Call for Measure 3

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management will publish on February 14 the IV public call for measure 3 within the IPARD program. It is about supporting investments in physical capital related to the processing and marketing of agricultural and fishery products. On that occasion, in the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, on February 8, 2022, businessmen were presented with the benefits of this call, through which six million euros were provided with the support of 75% from EU funds.

Having in mind that the beneficiaries of this Measure are companies registered in the Central Register of Business Entities (CRPS), including cooperatives, the presentation was aimed at clarifying the criteria that must be met in order to apply for the published public call.

In addition to businessmen, the presentation was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Director General of the Directorate for Rural Development Andrijana Rakočević and Acting Director General of the Directorate for Payments Vladislav Bojović, Chief Zoran Irić and Advisor Nina Jakić, and Secretary of the Board of the Association of Agriculture and Food Industry in the Chamber of Commerce Lidija Rmuš.

The public call for measure 3 will last 45 days, the deadline for submitting applications will be from February 14 to March 31, 2022. Support is provided for investments related to the construction and / or reconstruction and equipping of facilities, procurement of equipment, machinery and equipment. Eligible costs through measure 3 range from € 40,000 to € 1,500,000.

This measure is intended to support processing capacities and aims to improve food business operators, so that they meet EU standards in terms of food safety and have the opportunity to place products on the market without hindrance.

Andrijana Rakočević said that this public call, which has the support of the European Commission, represents a new step forward in standards, and that its implementation will lead to the creation of new jobs and make agriculture a desirable business.

"I call on all companies to apply for these generous grants, all with the aim of strengthening Montenegrin agriculture" she said.

Zoran Irić stated through the presentation that the beneficiaries of the support can be the sectors of milk processing (minimum daily processing capacity 500 l of milk), meat processing (slaughterhouse with a minimum daily slaughtering capacity (8 working hours) of 10 cattle or 20 pigs or 30 sheep). or goats or 3000 poultry) and meat processing with a minimum annual capacity of 10 tonnes, wine production (minimum annual capacity of 2000 l of wine), olive processing (minimum annual processing capacity of 500 kg), fish and aquaculture (minimum annual capacity) processing of 5 tons).
