Ambassador Reinke visited Bar to announce the $104,000 donation of a specialized firefighting/rescue pickup truck

Ambassador Reinke visited Bar today and met with the mayor Dušan Raičević to announce the $104,000 donation of a specialized firefighting/rescue pickup truck, which will help with emergency response efforts in the event of a wildfire or fire in a remote, rural location.

The Embassy is proud to have partnered with the Civil Protection and Rescue Services on this donation and on previous efforts, including a similar vehicle donation in 2020.

This latest donation is an important step forward in improving the local capabilities of emergency response teams to fight wildfires during their initial stages, and thus to better reduce risk.
