Ambassador Judy Rising Reinke attended the concluding event of the NGO Prona’s “Women Entrepreneurs in Science” project in Berane

On Monday, July 31, 2023, Ambassador Judy Rising Reinke attended the concluding event of the NGO Prona’s “Women Entrepreneurs in Science” project in Berane, Montenegro, where women entrepreneurs gathered to present their business ideas as part of the project’s elevator pitch competition. Throughout this project, 10 teams of women entrepreneurs underwent training and a three month mentorship to help develop their business ideas in STEM fields, and eight teams pitched their ideas in competition for seed funding.

Three businesses – Mindshift, Meditera, and Green Drive Car – won, with first place receiving $5,000. The “Women Entrepreneurs in Science” project was funded through the U.S. Embassy’s Democracy Commission Small Grants Program with the goal of supporting the economic empowerment of Montenegrin women in STEM fields in.
