AASF program supports dairy sector expansion in Albania

With over 15 years of market presence, Gjirofarma is one of the most recognized Albanian brands in the dairy sector.

Ms. Anila Denaj, Minister of Finance and Economy, during a tour visiting businesses all over Albania, has visited Gjirofarma to discuss the latest agribusiness investment and potential future projects.

“We need to interact more closely with each other to incentivize the agribusiness sector, we as the Government, on one hand, financial institutions and farmers themselves through formalization and capacity development, on the other hand. International programs and our partners are ready to assist us at any moment.” – Ms. Anila Denaj, Minister of Finance and Economy.

Thanks to support from European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Government of Albania through Albanian Agribusiness Support Facility (AASF) program and Partner Financial Institutions, Gjirofarma has been able to increase its dairy production capacities and add a new production line in meat processing.

“Gjirofarma” sh.p.k is among 6,000 businesses benefiting from the Program which has been gained technical and financial support and they can serve as row model to promote on how AASF contributes to agriculture sector sustainable economic development in Albania.
